imageISLAMABAD: Babur Girgin, Ambassador of Republic of Turkey to Pakistan called on Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here at the Finance Minister's Office and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Ambassador termed the recent visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Turkey as successful.

Mr. Girgin offered cooperation and assistance to Pakistan to further expand bilateral economic ties between the two countries.

Turkey, he said had achieved great economic success in the last decade and possessed the experience to help Pakistan in its efforts to accelerate the pace of development in the country.

The Ambassador of Turkey said that he was under instructions of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to increase economic relations with Pakistan and informed the Finance minister that soon a high level delegation from Turkey will visit Pakistan which would include a large number of business persons.

The Finance Minister said that Turkey and Pakistan have close economic and bilateral relations which will grow further with the passage of time.

Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan desires to learn from the Turkish experience and improve its economy and was therefore looking towards Turkey for assistance and cooperation.
