BAHAWALPUR: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur, Faisal Rana has said that all the security arrangements for the upcoming general election have been completed in the division.
Talking to APP, he said that out of total 4,321 polling stations, 224 have been declared highly sensitive while 705 have been categorized as sensitive.A total of 10,923 police personnel will perform duty on polling day besides 825 Qaumi Razakars and 11,251 Special Police Force, he added.
The polling stations have been divided into 74 sectors and 432 sub-sectors for provision of fool proof security, he informed.
The RPO said that 524 police mobile vehicles, 849 patrolling motorcycles, 81 Elite Force and 74 Quick Response Force Commando will remain prepared with 48 companies of Anti-Riot Force to handle any untoward incident.
He maintained that 182 police personnel are providing security to the offices and staff of Election Commission of Pakistan.
