Apple never fails to bring something exciting for its users and as expected, the tech giant did not disappoint its consumers at the 'field trip' education event yesterday in Chicago.

The event was focused on education as it read on its invitation card ‘Join us to hear creative new ideas from teachers and students’. To the users' delight, Apple introduced new gadgets including a new iPad, Apple Pencil, new software and much more.

The show stopper was Apple’s new 9.7-inch iPad with a price of $329 for its regular customers and $299 for schools. The iPad comes in with Apple Pencil support, which has to be bought separately for $99 for regular customers and $89 for schools. With the new A10 Fusion chip, Apple claims that the iPad will be 40% faster CPU and will have 50% faster graphics performance. The iPad also features stereo speakers.

Next, the tech giant introduced new features for education users including a new ‘Schoolwork’ app. Through this app, Apple aims to provide a one-stop solution for teachers for giving and tracking assignments and progress. The app also focuses on privacy as it safeguards all the student data and only the teacher would be able to see it.

Another ‘ClassKit’ framework has been integrated with Schoolwork through that teachers can discover specific learning activities in the app and direct student to the right activity with just one single tap. The app will be available in June in iOS 11.4.

With many new features, this updated app proves to be very handy for students for their assignments and works. Also, Apple’s ‘Classroom’ app will be available in Mac, which previously was not and will allow teachers to manage their students’ iPads. The students will also receive 200GB of free iCloud storage, exceeding the previously set 5GB limit, keeping in mind, the 5GB limit remains the same for the regular customers, reported 9to5Mac.
