Govt decides to form committee over TLP's plea against party ban

The meeting discussed the TLP’s review application from all legal aspects and decided to constitute a three-member committee comprising senior officers
On April 29, the TLP filed an appeal to the Interior Ministry seeking review of the government’s April 15 decision of banning it over countrywide violent protests

He has been released from Kot Lakhpat jail.
He was arrested on April 12 by Lahore police.

Rizvi's name has been placed under the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 under which any individual linked to a proscribed organization can be restricted to limitations on travel, speech, and business
TLP has been instructed to submit its income and expenditure for all social and political activities and disclose all its funding sources

The advisory has been issued in wake of violent protests by activists of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan who had been demanding the government to expel the French ambassador and ban the import of goods from that country
