Syed Murad said that currently 4224 patients were under treatment, of them 3954 were in home isolation, four at centers and 266 at different hospitals.
"This is beyond comprehension as when people are allowed to bring out rallies and encouraged to attend public meetings why can not they be provided with a facility that is critically needed by them,"
According to notification of Sindh Universities and Board Department, the Chief Minister has extended with immediate effect the leave period of the Vice Chancellor University of Sindh due to inquiry process.
The meeting was told that the landfill sites would be filled very soon, therefore a power plant might be installed on waste being collected from the city.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 264 more patients recovered rising the number of patients recovered so far to 132,377 that constituted 95 percent recovery rate.
He added that so far 1,416,482 samples have been tested against which 138,593 cases were detected all over Sindh that came to 10 percent overall detection rate.
He said that 11689 samples were tested against which 361 cases were detected that constituted three percent infection rate, said a statement issued from the CM House.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 400 new cases of coronavirus emerged when 10,881 samples were tested which constituted 3.6 percent current detection rate.
The chief minister said that the BRT projects planned by his government have started maturing, therefore, the transport department should set a timeline for their groundbreaking.
He took this decision in a meeting held with a delegation of ABAD led by its Chairman Mohsin Sheikhani here at CM House, said the statement released here.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that two more patients lost their lives while struggling against coronavirus lifting the death toll to 2471 that constituted 1.8 per cent death rate.
