The benchmark palm oil contract for October delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange declined 2.4pc to 2,608 ringgit ($613.65) a tonne when markets closed.

The Southern Peninsular Palm Oil Millers Association estimated June 1-10 production in some parts of Malaysia rose 31.7pc from the previous month, traders said.
Crude palm oil output were up 12.6pc on month in April, GAPKI's statement said, while stockpiles stood at 3.4 million tonnes at the end of April, little changed from a month earlier.
