Cotton contracts for July rose 0.26 cent, or 0.3% to 83.08 cents per lb.
The report also showed cotton was 61% planted in Georgia, up from 37% in the prior week.

Cotton prices have improved due to strong export demand for raw cotton and cotton yarn.

The cotton contract for March was up 0.61 cent, or 0.8%, at 75.28 cents per lb.
Demand has improved, but it always does at this time of year. However, the contract will likely struggle getting above 76 cents.

Cotton market is following the grains market and grains market bounced back a bit and cotton is doing the same thing.

We're seeing a huge break in the US dollar. A weak dollar is positive for cotton down the road.

The export sales were real good and the dollar is threatening to take out a 2-1/2 year low.

The cotton contract for March was down 1.14 cent, or 1.5%, at 72.66 cents per lb.
Prices on Monday hit 74.27 cents, its highest level since May 7, 2019, helped by vaccine hopes and a rally in gains market.

The cotton contract for December rose 1.25 cents, or 1.8%, to 71.17 cents per lb.
There are forecasts for above normal rain in the southeast that could delay the ongoing harvest.

The cotton contract for December rose 0.76 cent, or 1.1%, at 69.98 cents per lb .
The front-month contract earlier hit its highest since Jan. 30 at 70.04 cents and was on track for a second straight weekly gain, rising 3.5% so far this week.

Certificated cotton stocks deliverable as of Sept. 25 totaled 12,155 480-lb bales, up from 10,484 in the previous session.

Cotton futures set for second weekly gain as rains delay harvest

There is a little bit of a wet weather that is bothering the harvest. It is not really harming the quality but prolonging the harvest.
Limiting cotton's advance, the dollar scaled a two-month peak and was on track for its biggest weekly gain since early April.

Cotton contracts for December settled up 0.21 cent, or 0.3%, at 65.46 cents per lb, after earlier touching their lowest level since Sept. 11.
The dollar was down 0.1% against key rivals after hitting a two-month high earlier in the session on economic recovery concerns.
