There has been an alarming increase recently in acts of racial discrimination and violence against Chinese and Asians in Australia, due to COVID-19, China said.
Other data out on Tuesday showed government spending also added to growth in the March quarter, while companies reported better sales and profits than many expected.
The country has been successful in managing the outbreak and reopening its A$2 trillion ($1.33 trillion) economy, thanks in part to an early closure of its borders.
