KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours where two ships carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal during last 24 hours, Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 30% at the Port on Thursday where total number of three ships namely OOCL Sanfransisco, Sai Eyernity and M.T Mire are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 40077 tonnes comprising 33693 tonnes imports and 6384 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 630 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
