yousuf-raza-gilaniMULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that he was pondering to file a review petition in the Supreme Court about his disqualification as the situation had changed after writing a letter to the Swiss authorities.

Talking to the media persons at residence of Syed Ahmed Mujtuba Gilani, he said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was a political party, which had an ideology.

Gilani, who is also Senior Vice Chairman of the PPP, said that the PML-N was not an ideological party and its workers had no ideology, many of them left the party after the departure of the Sharifs to Saudi Arabia.

Replying to a question, he observed that ideology was essential for bringing about a revolution and no one could bring about revolution after making forward blocs.

Gilani added that only those leaders had popularity who worked for the cause of the public.

Replying to a query, he said that it would be difficult for any political party to run the government in presence of a hung parliament. He, however, added that political party having temperament of the PPP could run the government in such a situation.

It is not only the responsibility of federal government to control corruption but also of the provincial governments after the NFC Award, he said.

The PPP leader said it was because of the Charter of Democracy (CoD) that Nawaz Sharif was now aspiring for the prime ministership for the third time.

To question about Kalabagh Dam, he said the decision should be taken with the consensus of the provinces.
