IRSA releases 112,479 cusecs for rim stations

indis-river-ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday released 112,479 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 49,160 cusecs.

 

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1489.69 feet, which was 111.69 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.

 

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 24,100 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 66,000 cusecs.

 

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1171.55 feet, which was 131.55 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 8,581 cusecs and 30,000 cusecs respectively.

 

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 76,851, 50,701 and 32,260 cusecs respectively.

 

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 9,000 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,479 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
