KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers , steel scrape and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International container Terminals, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile eight more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, rice, wheat, chemicals, steel coil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port Qasim on Thursday where total number of six ships namely CGM Rossini, M.S Fiesta, ILC Friendship, Mana Deepa, Changan and Gas Flixire are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice steel scrape, G,cargo and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 32,133 tonnes comprising 16,335 tonnes imports and 15,798 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 596 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
