KARACHI: One ship carrying containers was allotted berth at Port Qasim International Containers Terminal during last 24 hours. Meanwhile, three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Berth occupancy was 35% at the Port Qasim where total number of four ships namely Sealand Washington, MSC Lana, AS Olivia and M.V Ana Dorothea are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical and urea respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 56576 tonnes comprising 28772 tonnes imports and 27804 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2179 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
