ISLAMABAD: Cooperation between the government, business community, labour class and public would be highly helpful in bringing about economic development and progress in the country.
This was stated by renowned Economist, Dr. Shahida Wazarat who is also the Head of Economics Department at the Institute of Business Management while talking to a Private News channel here Wednesday.
She said due to our dependence on foreign assistance we had been lagged behind and no development in core economic fields could have taken place as we were following the austerity measures since long.
She said the current situation of the country is not very smooth and that is because of the day to day protests.
She continued as for as the public is concerned they should organize themselves and unite against those forces who are bent upon disrupting peace of the country.
She said: "Business community should play positive role in making strong the economy of the country.
Replying to a question, she said Pakistan and IMF are meeting with each other to review the future loan programme and current loan package.
