BUDAPEST: Hungary's debt agency AKK covered 95 percent of its planned forint government bond issuance by the middle of September, AKK said in a statement on Thursday.
It said by mid-September it had sold 1.16 trillion Hungarian forints ($5.34 billion) worth of bonds at auctions compared to a full-year issuance target of 1.23 trillion.
It added that with 329 billion forints worth of bonds sold to households so far this year, it has placed ten times as much debt in net terms as the originally planned 36 billion forints. ($1 = 217.0822 Hungarian forints)
