KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal during last 24 hours on Thursday.
Meanwhile five more ship scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, gen. cargo, chemical and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
Berth occupancy was 45% on Friday where total number of five ships namely Hansa Liberty, New Dehli Express, Ananya Naree, Asphalt Merchant and Arietis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, corn, butuman and crude oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 72,364 tonnes comprising 54,438 tonnes imports and 17,926 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,386 containers (Boxes) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
