KARACHI: Three ships carrying live stock, chemical and edible oil were allotted berths on Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile two more ships scheduled to load/offload containers are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85 percent at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where total number of nine ships namely AMS Pegauses II, Shipphire II, Unicorn Emerald, SFL Kent, Ocean Drover, Euro Sea, Fair Chem Steed, Chem Road Vega and Cape Banks are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, wheat corn, live stock, chemical furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 92629 tonnes comprising 77189 tonnes imports and 15440 tonnes exports were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
