KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, wheat and furnace oil were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal, FAP Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile two more ships scheduled to offload diesel oil and edible oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours said a PQA press release on Friday.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Friday where total number of eight ships namely MV,Lantau Arrow, Belgica, AMS Pegauses II, Shipphire II, Unicorn Emerald, SFL Kent, MV. Harsanadi and MV. Baltic are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, corn, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 42189 tonnes comprising 25362 tonnes imports and 16827 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 924 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
