KARACHI: Although singer-actress Katy Perry has 23,914,895 twitter followers at the time of writing, the famous micro-blogging user celebrity is apparently against the internet itself.
The 27-year-old pop star interacts with her fans regularly through her twitter account and
respond to their tweeted queries happily.
However, the “Wide Awake” singer has determined the amount of time people spend on the web is having harmful effect on the society.
She wished everyone would step away from their computers and talk to each other in person.
“Someone please pull the plug on the internet. Does it really better us as humans?” she
tweeted.
