PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday termed the transport system of Turkey is a best one of the world and hinted to hire the services of Turkish transport's experts to bolster the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa transport system.
He expressed these views during visit to bus terminal in Istanbul, Turkey, says a press release here on Sunday.
Commissioner Peshawar Division and Secretary Transport were also present on the occasion.
The minister was told that 360 private transports companies are providing quality service to people from this terminal and its management are under the control of private sector.
Mian Iftikhar accepted the invitation of becoming member of the International Passengers Union and said that he would make contact after studying the proposed law.
The minister took keen interest in tram train and metro service there and exchanged views about proposed Mass Transit Plan of UP with concerned authorities.
On this occasion, the authorities assured full technically support to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in this regard. The minister also visited Samanyolo media group TV station on which full support was extended to him by the management.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that he was very inspired from the progress made by Turkey especially in information, media, transport and culture and would talk to chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Turkish assistance in these fields.
