KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, edible oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of six ships namely MV. Najran, CGM Bellini, Ocean Prince, Rainbow Fairy, Star Masaya and MV.Genie are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, urea and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 85925 tonnes, comprising 67611 tonnes imports and 18314 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1410 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during lost 24 hours.
