Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where a ship carrying LPG was allotted berths at Engro Vopak Terminal on Monday.

Meanwhile two more ships scheduled load/offload containers and rice also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 45 percent at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where total number of five ships namely Leo Pard-B, Ocean Prince, Star Masaya, Gaz Serennity and Al Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, urea, LPG and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 57,019 tonnes, comprising 29,126 tonnes imports and 7,893 tonnes export were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
