KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where four ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile six more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, steel scrape, general cargo, soya been oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 45% at the Port on Friday where total number of five ships namely MSC Jenny, Jakarta Tower, Harsanadi, MT. Genie and MV Bow Pride are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Chemicals, Furnace Oil and Edible Oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 63748 tonnes/ comprising 43548 tonnes imports and 20202 tonnes exports indusive of containerized cargo carried in 111.1 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
