Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has further extended the suspension of international flights operations by May 31, 2020 as part of Covid-19 precautionary measures.

According to a notification issued by PCAA, Pakistan government has extended the suspension of international flights up to May 31, 2020 while remaining provisions as applicable to the suspension of international flights reflected in the previous orders remain unchanged.

The regular flight operation in Pakistan has been suspended since March 21, 2020. Presently, PCAA's extension in the suspension of international flights operations is aimed at averting further spread of Covid-19 in the country as the number of confirmed cases rose to 37218 from 7481 during last 30 days.

Meanwhile, PIA has announced to resume partial domestic operations from Saturday (May 16).
