The Met Office on Monday forecast more rains for most parts of the country with isolated windstorm and hailstorm from Tuesday through May 13.

It said that a westerly weather system is likely to enter Pakistan on Tuesday [today] and persist in upper parts until Thursday. The system is expected to unleash rain, dust-thunderstorm, hailstorm and gusty winds.

Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Kohlu, Loralai, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Okara, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad are likely to receive dust-thunderstorm with rain from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Intermittent wind rain-thundershower with few hailstorms is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, M.B.Din, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, T T Singh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from Tuesday night until Thursday.

Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Malakand, Charsadda, Mardan, Dir and Swat districts over the period. Farmers should take precautionary measures during the rainy spell.

In the next 24 hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in Northeast Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Southern Punjab and Kashmir.

In the past 24 hours, weather was dry in most parts of the country.

Karachi is expected to witness warm and humid weather with a temperature between 34 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius on Tuesday with humidity in the morning up to 80 percent and 60 percent later in the day.
