The government of Sindh has agreed to open the small markets from Monday and has demanded a list of small markets. However, the opening of large markets and shopping centers was conditional on the permission of the federation.

Sindh Education and Labor Minister Saeed Ghani chaired a meeting of representatives of various business community organizations and political parties. Ghani said that the provincial government is aware that lockdown affected business.

The provincial government did not ban the opening of major shopping malls, and large markets but the National Coordination Committee forbade the opening of large markets.

He further said that a list of all the markets of Sindh province has been sought. We can allow the opening of small markets for which a list will be compiled and SOPs will be formed.

Saeed Ghani said that they will consult the federation to open large markets and we will try to resolve the issues as soon as possible. The Supreme Court has decided that whatever steps are taken regarding lockdown should be the same.
