  • The development comes just a day before the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

President All Pakistan Workers Unions Syed Arif Shah announced that the workers of utility stores across the country will go on strike indefinitely from today (Friday) if the demands are not met.

The development comes just a day before the start of the holy month of Ramadan.  Negotiations between the Managing Director and Chairman Utility Stores Corporation and All Pakistan Workers Union failed yesterday.

Arif Shah said that strike will continue across the country till all the demands are accepted. Arif Shah said that the government had announced to pay extra wages to the utility store workers for working during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, as well as to provide safety equipment to the workers which were not fulfilled.

Shah has said that in the current situation, Prime Minister Imran Khan should issue immediate orders to solve our problems.
