Section 25 of Customs Act 1969: APCAA urges FBR chairperson to make amendments

All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) has urged the newly appointed chairperson Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to make suitable amendments in section 25 of Customs Act 1969 in accordance with international practices.

All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) has urged the newly appointed chairperson Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to make suitable amendments in section 25 of Customs Act 1969 in accordance with international practices.

In a letter, chairman APCAA Arshad Jamal congratulated Nausheen Javaid for her appointment as chairperson FBR.

He termed the issue related to the correct valuation as the most relevant, saying that it needed to be addressed in its true spirit to pacify the agitation of trade including multinational companies and added that board had to work out on the landing price of products for accurate valuations.

Furthermore, he said that it required drastic measures and suitable amendments should be made in section 25 of Customs Act 1969 in the light of international best practices.
