District Administration has set up 41 isolation rooms in the district for the treatment of probable patients suffering from coronavirus which were functional at Allied & District Headquarters Hospital, Tehsil Hospitals and in Rural Health Centers while two Rural Health Centers and two colleges out of the city area had been identified for quarantine health facilities.

The Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali said this while visiting hostels of various universities and colleges to check the arrangements for quarantine health facilities.

Deputy Commissioner visited Government College University New Campus Jhang Road, Government College Women University Madina Town and Postgraduate College Samanabad and checked the hostels in detail on quarantine for probable patients of Corona virus. He was accompanied by CEO Health Dr Mushtaq Sapra, Assistant Commissioner City Syed Ayub Bukhari, District Health Officer Dr. Bilal Ahmed and other officers.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the situation at the hostels of the respective Universities and college and said that they could be used if needed. He told the citizens that the district administration has taken comprehensive precautionary measures in view of possible threats to the Coronavirus and the isolation rooms and quarantine health facility in hospitals are part of the same initiative, but it is important not to panic about the virus but to take precautionary measures designed by the Department of Health to protect not only yourself but others.

He said that all departments/agencies have been obliged to implement the government guide lines. He informed that 6 isolation rooms has been set up in Allied Hospital, 3 in DHQ, 2 in Government General Hospital Samanabad, 6 in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sammundari, 2 in Tehsil Hospital Jaranwala, 2 in Tandlanwala, 2 in Chak Jhumra and one has been established in Government General Hospital Hasib Shaheed Colony.
