KARACHI: Shipping remained active at the Qasim port during last 24 hours says a Port Authority's statement issued here Monday said. A ship carrying containers was allotted berth at the International Containers Terminal on Sunday.
Meanwhile two more ships scheduled to offload Bitumen and Diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained only 28pc on Monday where total number of three ships namely MV. Tempa Bay, India Fortune and Arailah-I were currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat and fertilizer respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 17113 tonnes comprising 12317 tonnes imports and 4796 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 513 containers (Boxes) were handled during last 24 hours.
