Annular eclipse of sun is likely to be visible in Pakistan along with other continents on Dec 26, the Met Office has said. The astronomical event could be seen in Eastern Europe, much of Asia, North & West Australia, Eastern Africa, Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean on next Thursday to begin at 7:30-Pakistan Standard Time [PST].

The partial eclipse will reach at 8:34 PST and will grow into a total eclipse at 8:37 PST and greatest eclipse at 10: 18 PST. The total eclipse will end at 11:58 PST, partial eclipse at 12:1 PST and penumbral eclipse at 13:6 PST, according to the Met.

In Karachi, the eclipse will be visible at 8:46 PST, Islamabad at 8:59 PST, Quetta at 8:48 PST, Peshawar at 8:56 PST, Lahore at 8:58 PST, Gilgit at 9:01 PST and Muzaffarabad at 8:59 PST, it added.
