Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Aga Khan Hospital and National Institute of Child Health (NICH) to inquire about the recovery of Raza, 40 injured in police firing near Cantt Station and Hassan, 5, bitten by dogs in Larkana.

The chief minister went to Aga Khan where Raza, 40, who had sustained bullet injury fires by police at Cantt Station, was under treatment. He told the chief minister that he was settled in Canada and had home hear last year. "Now, I' return to Canada," he said.

At this the chief minister told him to enjoy his life in the city and nothing would happen with him. "This was an unfortunate incident that your friend Raheel was died and you sustained bullet injuries in police firing," he said and added this incident has caused me serious shock.

Raza said that he and Raheel were class fellow in Karachi Grammar School and then he moved to Canada but studied at USA. "We were friends from our childhood and used to meet regularly," he said. The chief minister said that he has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident and the policemen who had fired and were in the police mobile have been arrested. "It is our responsibility to provide you justice," he said.

The doctor providing medical treatment to Raza at Aga Khan told the chief minister that his patient was in stable condition and most probably would be released in next 24 hours. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah went to NICH to visit Hasnain, 5, who was badly wounded by dogs in Larkana and on his instruction the child was shifted to NICH.

Dr Jamal Raza told the chief minister that the condition of the child was precarious and the 10-member medical board he [CM] had constituted under Dr Jamshed Akhtar, Pediatric Surgeon, NICH was making all out efforts to save the life of the child.
