Amid sit-in against his party government, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday came down hard on provincial government of Sindh, saying situation in port city of Karachi is taking a turn for the worst day by day.

In a meeting of PTI's parliamentary party, he said that he would soon visit Karachi and whatever Karachiites are facing today is because of Sindh government's incompetence.

"The Sindh government has completely failed to resolve the issues faced by the people of the city [Karachi] and I'll visit Karachi soon," he was quoted as saying.

About the ongoing JI-F's sit-in against his government, Khan, according to sources, seemed quite confident and said there is no need to be worried about the marches. "The issue [dharna] will be resolved through reconciliation and this is what they [opposition] want," the Premier was quoted as saying.

Khan urged PTI lawmakers to support him against rising inflation in the country, as it has literally made it impossible for the common man to make both ends meet. "We will bring hoarders to the book as these are people who are doing all this to defame the government...we're going through artificial inflation due to these people [hoarders]," he added. The Prime Minister also directed all the MNAs of his party to remain in Parliament, adding the parliamentarians should play their due role in ensuring that the Pakistan Medical Authority Bill passes, which was later passed.

Khan said that people have started treating the medical profession as their business, adding people are running their own medical colleges and are also members of the medical boards, which can not be allowed.

"These people are playing with human lives and they should be dealt with an iron hand, as no one will be allowed to defame the sacred profession of medical," he added.
