He said since new regular incumbent had been appointed so the trial will resume formally on next hearing.

Meanwhile, a representative of a cellular company submitted Call Detail Record (CDR) of the ANF investigating officer. Khan's counsel had requested the court to summon the CDR of the IO. The federal law ministry had appointed District & Sessions Judge Shakir Hassan as the new presiding officer for the court. The judge will resume his new posting after a formal notification by the Lahore High Court about handing over his service on deputation to the federal government.

The special court had been waiting for its regular incumbent since Aug 28 when predecessor Masood Arshad was restrained working in the middle of the proceedings of the drug case. The police personnel in civvies did not let Rana Sana talk to the media and for this purpose they started making noise on megaphones apparently to get the way cleared.

Earlier inside the courtroom, Rana Sanaullah told reporters that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid, when were in opposition, used to demand resignation on every petty issue. "Why they don't give resignations on Tezgam train incident," he questioned. He also expressed his support to the 'Azadi March' The ANF had arrested Khan on July 01 and claimed to have seized 15kg heroin from his vehicle.
