  • 27% people say they are very happy while 11% say they are unhappy.
  • The survey was carried out among 1,200 men and women hailing from urban and rural areas.
  • In a 2018 survey, almost 88% people in Pakistan were satisfied with their lives.

(Karachi) A survey conducted by Galup and Gilani Research Foundation revealed that 72% people in Pakistan are either very happy or somewhat happy with their lives.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked about how happy they are.

In response, 27% said they are very happy, 45% said they are somewhat happy, 17% said they are somewhat unhappy, and 11% said they are very unhappy.

The survey was carried out among 1,200 men and women hailing from urban and rural areas.

The data collected during the survey transpired that most people are happy with their lives but some of them are not satisfied with the quality of life they are living.

When comments from the people were viewed, it became apparent that most of them had been facing difficulties like inflation, law and order situation and insecurity that affected their lives.

In a 2018 survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Foundation, it highlighted that almost 88% people in Pakistan were satisfied with their lives. Of them, 50% said they were completely satisfied with their lives, 38% stated they were somewhat satisfied, 9% said they were somewhat dissatisfied while 3% maintained they were not satisfied by the quality of life they were living.

The statistics transpired from the survey of 1,497 individuals, including men and women from all four provinces of the country.

While comparing the data of both the surveys, it is apparent that there has been a decline in the number of individuals who are satisfied with their lives.
