KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Wednesday, a PQA statement here said.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, wheat, diesel oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained 35 percent at the Port Qasim on Thursday where total number of four ships namely SFL Avon, MSC Hina , CGM Puccini and MV. Elicia are currently occupying berths to load/offoad containers and cement respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 53,947 tonnes, comprising 33,306 tonnes imports and 20641 tonnes exports was handled, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2504 containers (Boxes) during last 24 hours.
