  • William said he likes moderately-spicy food, something that he thinks might not exist in Pakistan.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited on Wednesday the Aga Khan Centre to meet Prince Karim Aga Khan in central London, ahead of their official visit to Pakistan early this month.

The royal couple celebrated Pakistani culture during their visit to the Aga Khan Centre where they also met key figures in the community, including musicians, chefs and artists.

At the event, the royal couple spoke about their upcoming visit to Pakistan as the royal couple said they are looking forward to try Pakistani food in their forthcoming tour.

The 37-year-old said she would often try her hand at making curry at home, making one version for the adults and a second, milder version for their three children [Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis]. But she added, “Charlotte is pretty good with heat”.

“It's so hard cooking curry with the family though,” she said. “The children have a portion with no spice, yours is medium," she said to William. "And I quite like it hot," she added.

William told the guests that he likes his moderately-spicy, something that one person told him does not exist in Pakistan. “Me and heat, not so good. I love spice but not heat,” he said. “I'm looking forward to it anyway. I'm going to need a bigger suit,” he added.

The trip will mark the first royal visit to the country in more than a decade. The official visit to Pakistan is due from October 14 to 18.
