Pakistan's budding star Mohammad Haris, who happens to be a fan of England wicketkeeper batsman Joss Buttler, is keen to put on a good show at the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup.

“We have been practicing for the past five-six months….We are preparing for every side whether it is India, Afghanistan or Kuwait, our preparations remain the same. Hopefully, we would give our best in the tournament,” said Haris, who is busy training at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi.

Some eight side would participate in the U19 Asia Cup with archrivals Pakistan and India placed in the Group A alongside Afghanistan and Kuwait; whereas, Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Nepal.

“I play my natural game, our coach and the management has given me the confidence to play naturally which is the reason behind my performance,” said Haris who sees his future as a wicketkeeper batsman.

Talking about his batting style, Haris said that he likes to play aggressively and keep the run rate under control. “I play aggressively and try not to become a burden on the team and try to achieve the required run rate.”

The Under 19 Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka and will commence from September 5 and the final of the tournament will be played on 14th of the month.
