The federal government has issued a notification of the new constitution of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Under the new constitution, the Prime Minister will be able to give a policy guideline to the cricket board. However, the Prime Minister would no longer have the authority to remove the chairman.

This comes after the removal of seventh clause, which was about the chairman’s removal and the dissolution of the governing board.

The PCB chairman is further empowered in the new constitution while under the new constitution the chairman will be accountable to the board of governors.
