Kenya central bank sells dollars to banks after shilling slides

NAIROBI: Kenya's central bank sold dollars to banks on Wednesday after the shilling slid to its lowest level against the dollar in nearly five years, three traders told Reuters.

"Initially the market had been lower at 104.45/55, they sold dollars and they've beat it down to the current level of 104.05/25," said a senior foreign exchange trader at a commercial bank.
