Asif Ali’s daughter passes away after battling cancer
Pakistan’s middle order batsman Asif Ali’s two-year-old daughter passed away on Sunday after battling cancer. She was in United States for her cancer treatment.
Asif, who was part of the recently concluded Pakistan tour of England, is expected to depart from the tour. The batsman made himself available for the Men in Green in England despite his daughter’s illness.
“My daughter is fighting the stage IV cancer and we are taking her to US for her treatment,” tweeted Asif last month.
Fellow cricketers and fans condoled Asif over the tragic loss.
