KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers and cement were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Sunday, March 12.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload wheat, diesel oil and general cargo also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 25% at the Port on Monday where total number of three ships namely MV. Maersk Georgia, MV. Strilen and MV. Hiba Al Nour-B is currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil and cement respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 14931 tonnes, comprising 7665 tonnes imports and 7266 tonnes exports was handle, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 711 containers (Boxes) at the Port during last 24 hours.
