The Sri Lankan Cricket Board announced its 15-members squad for the ICC World Cup 2019 on Thursday.

The announcement comes after the board earlier sacked veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga from One Day International (ODI) captaincy, with Sri Lanka’s test captain Dimuth Karunaratne appointed the skipper for the one-day squad for the upcoming World Cup.

The 30-year-old will lead the team while playing his first one-day game since 2015.

Sri Lanka World Cup squad:

Dimuth Karunaratne (captain), Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kusal Mendis, Isuru Udana, Milinda Siriwardana, Avishka Fernando, Jeevan Mendis, Lahiru Thirimanne, Jeffrey Vandersay, Nuwan Pradeep, Suranga Lakmal
