Spanish national consumer prices rose 1.3 percent year-on-year in March according to data from the National Statistics Institute on Friday, in line with Reuters poll forecast and compared to 1.1 percent in February.

Spanish European Union-harmonised prices rose 1.3 percent from a year earlier, in line with the Reuters forecast and up from 1.1 percent in February.

Core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy  prices, remained flat at 0.7 percent year on year.
