KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during the last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers were allotted berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal on Wednesday, Port sources said on Thursday.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers, canol seeds also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 35 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of four ships namely M.V San Francisco, SFL Avon, M.V Maganari, M.V Al Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, canol seeds and diesel oil respectively for the last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 79,500 tonnes comprising 62,385 tonnes import and 17,115 tonnes exports was handled, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,538 containers (Boxes) at the Port during the last 24 hours.
