Britney Spears admitted to mental health facility
Singer Britney Spears checked into a mental health facility as she continues to cope with her father Jamie Spears' recent health scare.
Britney has been troubled over the past year by her father’s health crisis. Jamie recently underwent a second surgery to fix a ruptured colon. The 37 year-old singer was admitted over a week ago and is expected to remain in treatment for a month. Britney's boyfriend Sam Asghari is sticking by her side during the difficult time.
She broke a months-long social media hiatus and wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body and spirit”.
In November last year, the ‘Baby, One More Time’ pop star put her Las Vegas residency on hold to look after her dad.
Sources connected to Britney told TMZ she has been distraught over her dad’s illness something which is quite serious and not getting better. “Jamie has now had two surgeries to correct major issues with his intestines and colon. The second surgery was recent but he’s been suffering complications. Jamie’s issues started late last year after his colon spontaneously ruptured,” the source revealed.
