Automobile manufacturer Bugatti is celebrating its 110th birthday by going back to its root and unveiling an over $33,000 car for kids.

The French car manufacturer Bugatti is bringing back its famous racing car the Bugatti Type 35, also known as Bugatti Baby, after a century, giving it a modern makeover and costing a hefty price of over $33,000.

Giving a tribute to the automaker’s classic racer, the limited edition Bugatti Baby II features an electric powertrain with driving modes for adults as well as kids. The car features a similar body design as the original one, but will be three-quarters the size of it, having a 3D-printed frame.

Automaker Bugatti unveils world’s most expensive car costing almost $19mn

The two different modes include a 1kW ‘child mode’ that reaches a top speed of 20km/h, and also a 4kW ‘adult mode’ that tops out at 45km/h. For people who want more speed, there is an optional upgrade available that unlock the ‘Speed Key’, allowing driver to use up to 10kW of power and push the vehicle to its limits, wrote Bugatti.

Moreover, the Bugatti Baby II will feature Bugatti’s traditional French Racing Blue finish, although people will also be able or order in range of alternative colors. The car has eight-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, giving it the look of a classic racing car. The car is a limited edition one and only 500 of them will be made, with production set to start this fall.
