Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani has said that ICC Chief Executive Dave Richardson would be visiting Pakistan alongside foreign dignitaries to attend the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.

“ICC Chief Executive Dave Richardson is coming to Pakistan alongside security experts of Bangladesh cricket and Cricket Australia.

“Our intention is that these experts get the on ground experience on how we operate,” said Mani, while talking to local media.

The PCB chief than applauded the city and provincial governments for their efforts to promote PSL. “I am thankful to the Karachi and Sindh administration for their measures at the last minute, and I am hopeful they will all be successful,” said Mani.

PSL Pakistan-leg Lahore matches were moved to Karachi just days ago, due to logistical and operational challenges. The decision was taken following the delayed opening of the Lahore airspace for commercial flights, which has created substantial operational and logistical challenges relating to the delivery of the three Lahore matches, which were originally scheduled for 9, 10 and 12 March.

Talking about the upcoming matches in Pakistan, Mani said that the successful implementation of PSL would help eradicating the negative perception foreigners have towards Pakistan.

“The perception that Pakistan has among the foreigners would change after the successful implementation of PSL in Karachi. People would be assured that Pakistan and Karachi especially are completely safe,” said Mani.
