DC for taking immediate action against illegal petrol pumps

RAJANPUR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajanpur Muhammad Altaf Baloch has directed for taking immediate action against illegal petrol pumps and oil supplying units in the district.

He also directed all the Price Control Magistrates to ensure the sale of all food items as per the prescribed rates.

The Deputy Commissioner was chairing a meeting regarding illegal petrol pumps and sale points here Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Rana Muhammad Afzal Nasir, Assistant Commissioner Rajanpur Liaquat Ali Gillani,, Assistant Commissioner Jampur Saifur Rehman, District Monitoring Officer Asad Ali and Price Control Magistrate.

The DC said that action should be taken against the traders who are involved in profiteering.

The meeting was told that an amount of Rs 2,23,000 was collected from profiteers in terms of fine during last month.
