Shortage of essential items, including flour and sugar, at the utility stores has panicked the consumers, by and large, saying that the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has lost its worth due to a constant shortage of essentials there.
The USC employees are of the view that the situation could have been otherwise in case the government had extended a timely bailout package to the corporation.
It may be noted that supplies of essentials were streamlined during the holy month of Ramazan, however, these supplies have been disrupted excessively. The corporation administration is of the view that there are not enough funds to pay the suppliers of essential items. They have forewarned that any further delay in sustaining the supply chain would lead to a severe shortage of supplies at the corporations and the sale targets would be disrupted heavily.
